Records are mint documents and discography is a valuable method to provide correct and strength bases for "music history" and "ethnomusicology". Although the number of recordings in Iran are not too much but because of the lands and people influenced by Iranian culture, the Persian discography get more importance in all west Asia. Persian language, literature and music have made common points between a huge number of people in many parts of the world and have tied many cultural roots and activities.
This wide cultural relations has push me and a number of my expert friends and colleagues to focus on Persian discography as a necessary research for all west Asia. Thousands of records, discographies, catalogs, booklets, photos, postcards, articles and books belong to lands and people from India to Turkey and North Africa have been referred during the years after 2000 to make the Persian discography and its all branches and subsideries.
